Itineraries

Over the years we have learned that no trip is the same as another. Every experience is different, every day at sea is singular, every moment is unrepeatable. Each trip is designed according to your interests, your dream of the sea. In this list we present some of the experiences lived on board the Tai-Pan, but we look forward to speaking with you to draw up plans for a new trip, for your memory of the sea.

Portoferraio – Viticcio/Biodola/Procchio/Paolina/Punta della Zanca – Portoferraio

Description

After having left the harbour, we will pass by Napoleon’s villa where he had stayed during his Elba exile and we will be directed towards the most beautiful hotspots: Sansone rock archway, Enfola tuna warehouse and the Procchio Gulf. We will try to show you our passion for Elba and its crystalline water, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. For lunch, we will drop the anchor in a calm bay where we will cook fresh fish-based meals, depending on what will be available at the marketplace in the morning. Simple dishes, tasting of the sea. We will come back to the harbour in the late afternoon.

Portoferraio – Capraia (2 nights in the harbour) – Portoferraio

Description

Capraia is a peculiar island, an unusual slab of volcanic rock with amazing sights, flavoured by the unusual experience of the sea. There are not many sheltered bays to stay in and anchor, but within its small creeks we can still find the rare sensation of unity with nature. Wild and rough, it shines under the sun with its red rocks and with the old castle, which protects the entrance to the small fishermen’s harbour. Considered by many as a stop on the way to Corsica, for us, Capraia is an island we appreciate to stay around even for weeks, either in the harbour or at the anchor during some calm and warm summer nights.

Portoferraio – Macinaggio – Cap Corse (Giraglia-Centuri) – Saint-Florent (2 nights) – Capraia – Portoferraio

Description

A cruise. For those who have never been in the sea, this word evokes giant ships that travel all around the world. Our reality is different and this itinerary might be an excellent starting point if you wish to start to feel like you belong to our marine family. The first long trip will be never forgotten and Punta Polveraia – Giraglia can be a memorable journey, as well as spending a night at the anchor in Centuri, dipping into the Caribbean waters of Plage de Lotu, and discovering the harbour of Saint-Florent. The journey back to Capraia can be optional as well as a visit to Île Rousse if the weather makes it possible. The forecast for those who travel by the sea is important and can change our plans, but that is how true adventures begin.

Itinerary

Portoferraio – Villa Ottone/Tenuta la Chiusa/Acquasalata/Biodola/Marciana – Portoferraio

Description

The most important moment for a couple, made by waiting rather than by living the actual moment. The bride who gets prepared helped by the maid of honour in Tai-Pan’s master cabin, the groom who waits at the clock tower pier in the old Medici Harbour… and then, reunion and a promise – and a journey towards the reception accompanied by the sound of sea and by the slow advance of the boat. After mooring at the pier, festivities with friends and relatives start and a new life begins.

Portoferraio – Cala d’Inferno/Cavo/Rio Marina/Ortano – Portoferraio

Description

Sea products, with their simplicity and along with seasonal products gently offered by the island, can be tasted on board at lunch, at aperitif, or at dinner in a lonely creek. We offer a range of possibilities to choose from: theme-led degustation, a special event as birthday or anniversary. In any case, you are welcome to spend this special occasion together on board of Tai-Pan for one or more days.

Description

A cruise for those who wish to discover one of the most fascinating places in the Mediterranean, for those who don’t fear to feel the ground rock upon their return home, for those who wish to become part of the boat and part of the sea. Long navigation in-between the natural marine landscapes, with unexplored bays which seem to wait for Tai-Pan to drop the anchor. Histories of the sea and navigators, histories of salt and wind – they are conserved between Bonifacio and Sardinia – and with this cruise you can add to them your own one.

A route towards the South-East exploring two amongst the most beautiful islands of the Tuscany Archipelago. With Montecristo accompanying us to the right as we approach them, we can stop in Punta Ala for one evening in one of the most glamour harbours of the Tuscan coastline, and then we will reach the two islands. Cala Spalmatoio, the Roman Villa, Campese, Arenella, a walk to Giglio Castello – all of the sites and possibilities these islands offer us… possibilities that probably merit more than one week to be lived to their fullest.
